The photographic project Zwillingshaft examines symbiotic relationships. Starting with identical twins, we focused on personal stories and experiences, extending our focus to other people who have a very close connection – sisters, lovers, best friends. How strongly do particularly close relationships affect our behavior towards others? How do people distinguish themselves from the rest of the society by extreme togetherness?
The pictures were taken at their favorite place. We created different microcosms, using their own objects and memories to highlight their similarities. The outcome is a synergy of their ideas and our creative/aesthetical execution.
